Fight Club

Danzzo & Kathryn received their yellow belts in Tae Kwon Do yesterday, wahoo!!!. Not just yellow belts but yellow belt black tip (lol, the black tip is just some black tape!). Just so you know it means they went from white belts (beginner) and were double graded. Translation they did well.

Sew Embarrased.....

This is what happens when you don't follow sewing protocols re: dimensions, hair fabrics etc. Once you've seen these pics (and after you stop laughing) I'm sure you'll understand why there are rules to follow when making toys and I'm not following them! Check them out: http://picasaweb.google.com/mahermayhem/SewingGoneBad

Not as Easy as it Looks....

It took me 3 goes before I got the tail the right size so I could turn it inside out!!! Now all she needs is a face and off to my bag of toys waiting to be dropped some where.

Sew What........

Yep you guessed it more softies!!!!! I'm venturing into the world of crocheted softies too. For some weird reason I quite enjoy making boy dolls rather than girl dolls...hmm.....I also like my softies to have names just as most of my artwork is titled so too are my softies, so without further ado let me introduce: Toby
he has 2 faces, a happy face, flip him over
and he has a crooked smiling happy face.
Rose: I know a girl doll but she is very sweet.
Bunny: cos he's well a rabbit.....work in progress
If you are interested (what's that you have to go and wash the dog!), check out My Softies Pics via my linkx on the right and you can see the making process of some of my softies. I even got carried away and created a visual tutorial on how I made Rose's hair.

following on.....

I was thinking bout my last post & decided to add to it......I don't just sew!!! In fact I don't do house work as often as I could or perhaps some would say I should. I don't iron, I don't smoke, I don't drink (well not often enough, sometimes). I thought this insight in to my domestic side might inspire some of you to take up a hobbie or pastime that you keep promising yourself "one day when I get the time". You have the time just use it effeciently so you have time to nurture your creative side. I hope you will find that being creative will give you much more energy to do.....well more creative stuff (hehehe!!). I dare to call myself a "Domestic Godess", yes I do cos when I do, do the housework then I am the epitomy of the Domestic Godess. Get creative and enjoy life!!!
